Wear Resistance

Wear Resistance

When two objects move in contact with each other, the friction reduces (abrades) the surface of the material, which is known as wear.
Wear resistance refers to the property of not easily allowing wear to occur.
Improving wear resistance is an important issue with a goal of lengthening the service life of parts and tools. Kobelco offers surface treatment solutions to improve wear resistance through the use of thick film, improved lubricity, and high hardness.
